Famed Santa Monica eatery, Native, closed its doors.
Owner, Nyesha Arrington, blamed the restaurant’s closure in part to recent hikes in the minimum wage saying, “minimum wage has gone up, and our rent is crazy and it’s just hard to turn a profit and consider it a business when it’s so much overhead.”
However, Arrington did state that she would consider moving her location to a space that was more sustainable financially.
