Associated Supermarkets will be closing their doors for the last time after being in business for decades. The owner, Joseph Falzon, cited the $15 minimum wage as a contributing factor in the decision. “I have people that have been with me a long time and make a lot more than that,” Falzon said, but he added that the higher minimum wage increased payroll “quite a bit.”
